The dwelling in the Iron Age

From the Iron Age there has been found remains of houses with many similarities to the first traditional Sami dwelling, the goahtti, in Sami, a turf house. The goahtti, is constructed from wood, birch bark and turf. The oldest form of goahtti is the arch-beamed goahtti.
