Scree graves

The burial site at Ceavccageađge/Mortensnes is the largest and most investigated pre-Christian Sami burial site we know of.

In the flagstone scree at Ceavccageađge/Mortensnes there are registered between 250-300 graves, which makes this is the largest graveyard besides cemeteries in Northern Norway.

The burial site has been in use between 1000 BC and 1500 AD.
